Happy Holidays!  Another whirlwind year where at first you can't remember doing anything, then upon reflection, it felt like a lifetime ago since the year's start. Russ and Courtney are still with the Special Counsel’s office and Empyrean, respectively. Russ traveled all over the U.S. this year for work, including a few courts-martial. He tried to balance that out with a few guys weekends. Courtney is battling through her busy season, what we call the holidays, and looking forward to things winding down. 

David and Luke are great. David is in kindergarten now! He really likes school and the friends he has met there. Although, we don't remember having homework in kindergarten, he knocks it out and it's a joy learning beside him and watching him grow. He's still enjoying any sport/activity he can: basketball, soccer, swimming, gymnastics, and ninja class (think obstacle courses).

Luke is bubbly as ever. He did soccer and gymnastics this year. Can't say that any of them really stuck. He spent much of the classes wandering around doing his own thing, but is happy as as clam. And every time we thought his waywardness would frustrate one of the coaches, he'd just flash his smile and you could see the charm win them over. He's going to be trouble.

We had a few family trips to the beach, Memphis, San Diego, Oakland, Cashiers, and Greenville with the kids this year. Together we visited  grandmas and grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Looking forward to more adventures next year.
